Bonda

Bonda is a typical Indian snack that has various sweet and spicy versions of it in different regions

Ingredients

  • Baby Banana - 3nos.
  • Baking powder - 2pinch.
  • Jaggery melted - as needed(melt jaggery with 1 1/2 cup water, allow it to cool)
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tablespoon

Directions

Grind banana with melted jaggery in a mixie.

In a mixing bowl mix cardamom powder, baking powder, wheat flour, salt with banana-jaggery mixture. Mix should not be too thick. Add more water if required. Let it rest for 4 hours to ferment.

Heat oil in a pan. Turn heat to medium. Make small balls out of the mixture and fry it in the oil until it turns golden brown turning once or twice in between. Move to a serving bowl
