Ingredients

  • All purpose flour / Maida – 2 cup
  • Sugar – 3/4 cup (Powdered)
  • Cardamom – 6 (Powdered)
  • Egg – 2
  • Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch of
  • Oil – 2-3 drops

  • Oil – 2-3 drops

Directions

Mix sugar, cardamom and egg.

Add baking powder and salt mix well.

Add maida in batches and mix well to make a dough.

Add oil and make a dough of roti dough consistency.

Cover and let it rest for an hour.

Grease the rested dough with some oil.

Shape the dough into an elongated log/pipe.

Using a knife, cut the dough into 1" thick square pieces. You can also cut it into triangles.

Make two deep cuts making a cross on each square piece.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry over medium heat until golden.

Flip and cook both sides.
